Delete your Oorjo account

You can close your Oorjo contributor account at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us.
From the app
- Open Oorjo and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose “Delete my account”.
- Confirm. You are signed out immediately and no further work is offered to you.
By email
Write to privacy@kenpathlabs.com from the email address you signed in with, asking us to delete your account. We act on requests within 30 days.
What happens when you ask
Your account is closed straight away: you are signed out, you stop appearing in the pool for new work, and no new tasks are assigned to you.
Deleted. Your name, email address, contributor profile (languages, district, age band, gender, education, occupation) and your stored payment details, including your UPI ID, are erased or irreversibly anonymised within 30 days.
Kept. Two things survive deletion, and we want to be plain about why.
- Work you already submitted — recordings, images and form answers — stays in the dataset it belongs to. It has already been delivered to the organisation that commissioned it and cannot be recalled. After deletion it is no longer linked to your name or email.
- Payment and earnings records are kept for eight years because Indian tax and company law requires us to retain records of money paid out. These are held as financial records, not as a profile of you.
If you have unpaid approved earnings, tell us before you delete your account, or write to the address above — we will settle them first. We cannot pay out to an account whose payment details have been erased.
Changed your mind?
Within the 30 day window, email privacy@kenpathlabs.com and we can stop the deletion. After that your account is gone and you would need to sign up again as a new contributor.
